PROGRAM MANAGER ADDICTION & MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Under the responsibility of the Regional Director of Addiction and Mental Health Services, the incumbent will assume a leadership role by assisting in the planning, organizing, directing and evaluating services provided by the Addiction and Mental Health Services Child/Adolescent, Intake/Screening and Adult Teams based on the needs of clients. This person will ensure quality services by collaborating with various professionals and the service providers of the Addiction and Mental Health Services, other Horizon Health Network Miramichi Service providers, clients and their family and the community. Services will be provided in accordance with the management philosophy of Horizon Health Network Miramichi.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Post secondary degree in a health related discipline

Current active membership/registration with a recognized professional body (health related).

Certification in a recognized Management course or equivalent.

Certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
-
Certified in Suicide Prevention (ASIST)
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
-
Minimum 5 years in a health related discipline with demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.

Minimum of 5 years experience within the Addiction and Mental Health field is essential.

Demonstrated management experience.
-
Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in supervisory and/or management role.

Possesses good analytical skills.
-
Able to function independently.
-
Demonstrated visioning, coaching, mentoring, facilitating, team-building, negotiating, decision making and conflict resolution non-violent.

Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.

Demonstrated human resource management and leadership skills

Demonstrated skills in change management.

Demonstrated writing and presentation skills.

Demonstrated skills with Quality Improvement initiatives

Demonstrated skills with policy and procedure development.

Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Ability to establish effective working relationships.

Ability to travel throughout the region and province.
