Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for a various activities of a technical or clerical nature, required to support the functions of the Department of Pharmacy Services. Performs the assigned tasks under the supervision and direction of a pharmacist, and is accountable on a daily basis to the pharmacist working in the area assigned.
Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 education or the equivalent

Successful completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician course offered by a New Brunswick community college, or other recognized community college/training institute.

A minimum of six months experience working in a hospital/pharmacy environment
-
Training and experience with various computer software applications and accurate keyboarding skills
-
Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to function as a team player in a professional environment

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, strong mathematics and reading skills
-
Strong organizational skills
-
Experience in the use of aseptic technique and the procedures required in handling cytotoxic agents
-
Oral communication skills in both English and French would be an asset

Demonstrated adherence to legislation and Regional Health Authority confidentiality policy to ensure all patient, business, financial and employee information is accessed on an as need to know basis.
