PATHOLOGIST
There is an immediate vacancy for a full time Anatomic Pathologist to join the medical staff of the Miramichi Regional Hospital (Horizon Health Network, Zone 7), City of Miramichi, New Brunswick.
The Miramichi Regional Hospital is dedicated to providing quality patient-centered care to the people of our region. It serves a population of approximately 50,000 and operates a state-of-the-art 161-bed acute care regional hospital. The Miramichi Regional Hospital has a comprehensive medical staff with specialist services in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Ob/Gyn, Anaesthesia, Orthopedics, ENT (Otolaryngology), Ophthalmology, Urology, Diagnostic Radiology, Pathology and Pediatrics; visiting consultants in other medical & surgical disciplines, and a dynamic Family Practice group
Successful candidate should exhibit strong diagnostic skills in surgical pathology, cytopathology (gynecology and non-gynecology), and perform autopsies (including medical and uncomplicated forensic).
Miramichi City is situated in the northeastern part of New Brunswick, along the world renowned (for salmon fishing) Miramichi River. Beautiful landscapes, interesting coves and salt water beaches are added attractions as are the wooded areas that create a backdrop for hiking, biking and cross-country ski and snowmobile trails.
Interested physicians must be eligible for licensure in the Province of New Brunswick as a Specialist in Pathology.
Bilingualism is preferred, but not essential.
