Social Worker/SW-2
Reporting to the Manager of the Mental Health Child/Adolescent Program, the social worker in charge of children and youth development is a senior clinician providing integrated services as part of a regional multidisciplinary team. He or she will be mainly responsible for the coordination and delivery of clinical services. He or she will be in charge of assigning cases, coordinating delivery of clinical services, and ensuring the team’s smooth operation. He or she will be responsible for ensuring adherence to standards of practice, policies and procedures. Will serve as a communication link and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. Will address issues related to the delivery of programs or services. He or she will participate in the planning, scheduling, implementation and evaluation of services. He or she will have a caseload and will provide therapeutic services to clients, families, and members of the client’s network.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Social Work from a recognized university

Member, in good standing, of the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW)

Minimum of three years’ clinical experience in mental health and/or addiction services
-
Ability to complete, within the set deadline, a course in non violent crisis intervention and suicide intervention (ASIST)

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, co-workers, other partners and organizations, as well as the general public

Valid driver’s license

Willingness to travel throughout the territory served by the Zone 7

Compliance with the code of ethics of the NBASW and Horizon Health Network

Written and spoken competence in French and English is required

NOTE: The incumbent will be required to travel to provide services in Neguac (School District 9)
