DIETITIAN 1/DT-1

Horizon Health Network – Miramichi Zone in the Extra Mural Program has an immediate opportunity for a temporary part time bilingual Dietitian/DT-1 1 to provide therapeutic dietary management of clients served by the Extra Mural Program, in consultation with the physician(s) and other members of the health care team. Work will be performed in accordance with Miramichi Regional Health Authority administrative policies and the New Brunswick Extra Mural Program provincial and clinical policies and procedures.

 

 

 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Dietitians of Canada.

• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.

• Ability to perform the duties of the position.

• Demonstrated adherence to legislation and Horizon Health Network confidentiality policy to ensure all patient, business, financial and employee information is accessed on a need to know basis.

• Have or be prepared to obtain CPR certification and recertify yearly as a condition of employment.

• Demonstrated adaptability to changing work environment.

• Possess valid driver's license and a good driving record as this position involves considerable travel.

• Patient Safety is a critical aspect of quality healthcare. Successful candidates must be accountable for creating a culture of safety, working as a team, communicating effectively and responding to adverse events.

• Performs or teaches blood glucose monitoring (when appropriate.)

• Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.
